Espresso Machines

Espresso Machine Information

taleatouch_hiresWhen using either a manual or semi automatic espresso machine a person must attach a portafilter to the machine in order to brew your espresso. With a super automatic coffee espresso machine all a person needs to do is to get the coffee beans and then the machine does the rest for them.

All a person needs to do to ensure that they get a great cup of espresso every time is to push a button. All it takes is to push a button and the espresso machine  takes over and completes the whole process for producing the coffee for you. Most super automatic espresso machines carries out the following steps.

1. It grinds the coffee

2. It fills the brewing chamber (so no use for a portafilter)

3. It tamps the grounds down automatically

4. Then it brews the coffee and sends it through to the cup waiting below

5. Once finished brewing it will eject the grounds from the brewing chamber and place them into a waste box which is internal to the machine and which can be removed at a later stage for the grounds to be disposed.

So one of the great things about this type of machine is there is no mess and no fuss you just get a great cup of espresso coffee every time you use it.

But as well as these machines being able to make great cups of espresso coffee they can also make other favorite coffee drinks as well, including cappuccino’s, latte’s, mocha’s and many others. All super automatic espresso coffee machines will come with either a steam wand (to one side of the machine which you will control) or an automatic system for frothing up the milk.

Super automatic coffee espresso machines have also become extremely popular with people who like to drink cafe crema. Although it is brewed in the same way as espresso, it does not taste as strong. For many who have sampled a cafe crema then they often decide that the drip coffee maker that they have been using for the past few years is outdated and will often replace it with a super automatic machine instead.

The reason why more people are turning to using a super automatic espresso coffee machine compared to others that are available is that they are very flexible. They contain many options and features that none of the others will have and will help look like a professional (barista) in a matter of minutes.

However which model you choose will depend on what sort of programming options you want with it. Each one available will provide you with options that allow you to not just control the strength of your coffee, but how much is produced and how hot or cold you want it.

Super automatic coffee espresso machines are not cheap and generally the prices start at a couple of hundred dollars and can cost upwards of a couple thousand. So when it comes time to purchasing any type of espresso machine you should be seriously be thinking not just the cost but whether it will fit in to your kitchen and frequency of usage to justify the investment.

solis-master-5000-anthraciteWell, the simple answer to this question is /now/, but the reason behind that is bigger than you think. There are multiple espresso machines out there landing around $1,000, which may seem like a luxury that you can only afford when all of your lottery ticket investments pay off, but the math there is simple. If you are daily drinking a latte at your local coffee house, that will run you about $3, but probably slightly more than that. If you and your spouse are both coffee drinkers, and let’s face it, who isn’t?- then you are looking at upwards of $6 per day for your family coffee plan. That amount per year is around $2,000, which is being modest, since we all know that you will probably be adding muffins to those latte purchases or even drinking multiple coffee drinks per day. Already, within six months, you can have the high class espresso machine of your dreams! And from there, your savings are endless. You are saving $2,000 per year, so you can buy one for all of your family members and friends too. How nice of you!

My point is not to sell you numerous espresso machines but to point out how we are all potentially being duped by the convenience of local coffee houses. This is one of those concepts where you have to give a little to get a little, so if you do initially shell out around a thousand dollars for your espresso machine purchase, then you will be saving an exponentially greater amount in the long run. Many people are not wanting to do that right off the bat because the math has not hit them right in the face, or the wallet, for that matter. Many of the latest espresso machines are so top notch it is like you are buying your own little home barista. The only things that you have to factor in is that you are also saving time by no longer waiting in line with all of the other coffee addicts that have not yet purchased their own espresso machines. I will admit that I am biased to home espresso brewing since your options will be endless in all that you can create. Latte art, anyone? But what I am not biased about is the simple math that will be saving you some cold hard cash. For me, there is really nothing better than hardly rolling out of bed to be able to make myself a double mocha latte type drink where I can then create a little leaf on top since I am attempting to improve on all of my latte art designs. Yes, it may take a little effort on my part to perfect my home espresso brewing, but that is much less than the gas it takes for me to actually drive to the corner coffee café.

If you are reconsidering the expense of your coffee habit, don’t give up! Your best bet will be just to give in and purchase a bit of coffee real estate that you can take home with you and enjoy for years to come!
